Jiri Kassa, MD, CSc

Czech Republic

Dr. Kassa specializes in toxicology and internal medicine. He received his MD from Purkyne Military Academy and the Medical Faculty of Charles University. He has been a member

 

Dr. Kassa’s main field of interest are the study of acute and chronic biological (especially toxic) effects of organophosphorus compounds (nerve agents, organophosphorus insecticides) including low level exposure and the evaluation of the efficacy of various types of antidotes against acute toxic effects of organophosphorus compounds for prophylactic as well as medical treatment of exposed people. He is the author or co-author of  12  research projects, more than 170 publications in International or Czech Journals, and more than 100 presentations (oral platform, poster) in International and Czech scientific conferences and symposiums.

 

Dr. Kassa is currently the head of the Department of Toxicology at the Faculty of Military Health Sciences of the University of Defense. He has been a member of the department since 1985.
