Lionel K. H. Lee, PPA, MBBS, MSS (Sports Medicine), MPH, FAMS

Prof. Lee is currently the Director of Director of Defence Medical and Environmental Research Institute (DMERI) of Defence Science Organization (DSO) National Laboratories in Singapore. He graduated in Medicine from the University of Singapore. He completed post-graduate attachments in Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine and Public Health, earned a Masters degree in Sports Medicine at the United States Sports Academy, and earned a Masters in Public Health at the Uniformed Services University for Health Sciences at Bethesda, Maryland. He was admitted as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in May 1997. He joined the Singapore Armed Forces Medical Corps in 1976 and rose to the rank of Brigadier General and the Chief of the Medical Corps. Prof Lee is a recipient of several professional, national and military awards and medals.
Prof. Lee was instrumental in setting up what is now the Soldier Performance Centre for the Singapore Army and the DMERI@DSO. Prof. Lee has published more than three dozen scientific works.
